Specializing in bespoke residential design, DSI’s signature style incorporates classic, new, and playful styles while marrying the client's views and needs with the overall vision. DSI gives you freedom as we create a seamless transition from conception to completion.

With over a decade of experience, this mother/daughter design team bring their love for beautiful spaces, creative spirit, and enjoyment of working with people together to make the design process fun and stress-free for clients.  The enjoyment they get from working with each other, combined with the unique talents they each bring to DSI is what sets them apart and creates a special experience for clients. Projects around the globe have included luxury residential interiors, superyachts, and private aircraft.

Dayna

Dayna Sterling is a third-generation Floridian with deep family ties to the state and emotional ties to its history and natural beauty. Drawing on her childhood interest in grand historical homes and love of design, she was led to pursue a career in interior design. Prior to launching her eponymous design studio, Dayna worked under several renowned designers in the Palm Beach area starting with an internship at Venus Williams’ design firm, V STARR. After graduating with her degree in interior design, she spent many years with the award-winning firms of Angela Reynolds Design and Kemble Interiors.

Dayna enjoys traveling to explore homes with a storied past and historic importance. She is a member of The Young Friends of The Historical Society of Palm Beach County and lives in Jupiter, FL with her long hair chihuahua, Mila Mae, our Chief Barketing Officer.

Darlene

After retiring from a successful 25-year career in finance, Darlene Malaney followed her shared passion for design and dreams of working with her daughter to launch DSI. A native Floridian, Darlene’s love of interior design and style was influenced by her mother Connie’s flair for creating beautiful spaces and southern hospitality. Darlene enjoys philanthropic work, travel and entertaining with her husband Wayne. Darlene and Wayne split their time between homes in Palm Beach Gardens and Naples, FL.

Mila Mae

Mila, a 6-year-old long-haired Chihuahua, is our Chief Barketing Officer. She promotes DSI through her unique communication skills and brings a smile to everyone who meets her. She provides unwavering support and inspiration to Dayna and Darlene. Mila lives in Jupiter with her best friend, Dayna, and enjoys running outside, chasing squirrels, and sunbathing.
